Assignment #7 Lines-Movement-Pattern-Texture

due Friday Nov. 26th

For this assignment you will incorporate some of the elements and principles of art into your images. Find examples of lines, patterns movement and texture in every day places. Use them to create strong black and white images with lots of contrast. Read the handout carefully and submit 4 images for each composition style. Make sure you label each picture what elements or principles your picture represents.

Total 16 pictures x 9 marks = 144 Marks

Photo of the Week "Abandoned & Discarded"

For the second term both the grades 11 and 12's will be recieveing a weekly photographic theme (photo of the week) You will be required to take 1 picture and submit it to your blog by Friday. The theme of the photograph will be posted every Friday so you have the weekend to come up with an idea. Each photo will be marked out of 9 then compiled into a folder. These weekly photos will then be added together at the end of the term and totaled up as an additional project.

Remember be Creative!

This weeks theme is: abandoned and discarded it is due on Friday November 19th.

Project # 6 Capturing Movement Due: Friday Nov. 19th

Using the assignment #6 Handout and the web sites provided create 8 pictures that depict movement. There are many different strategies for creating the illusion of movement, wether it be using the camera, or  modifying it using photoshop, or paint.net. Make sure you label each picture and summarize the photo technique and the editing tools you used. Have fun and good luck!

1. save as_____________
2.Save as Type- Pick JPG & know where you are saving it ie. to your desktop or my picks, but preferably to your thumb drive.
3. Change the quality under configuration to 87
4. Choose Flatten
5. Search for your JPG & transfer it to your blog from your saved source.

Projects Due For Midterm Reports

Photo 11 - Just a reminder that all projects including Project 5-A are due no later then Friday, November, 5th. This does not include project 5. That means that all projects must be completed labeled and submitted on to my blog by that date.
