is the photographic art that is not representational of real objects in the natural world. By taking the essence of the photo or a portion of the photo and by using color and or the form in an aesthetic arrangement or combination, the photographic abstraction becomes art.

New Projects
New Projects
Photo 12 should be starting assignment #4 Choose from the course out line list. Due Thursday Oct 21st. Make sure you let Mr. Mueller know what project you are doing. Good luck and have fun!
Just a reminder how I mark your assignments.
Now that we have been through several assignments that have focussed on the basic principles of photography we are going to start working on some fun and creative projects. I will now be assessing your work with the expectation that you have a basic understanding of those principles, and trying to apply them to your photo's.
Here is a brief overview of how I will assess your work. Each Photo is worth 9 marks each. here is the assessment breakdown.
Technique = 3 marks
I will be looking for an understanding of the basic principles of photography as out lined in projects 1&2. for example rule of thirdss e.t.c. I will be assessing the quality of your shot for example your exposure, lighting, and focus.
Creativity = 3 marks
When marking for creativity, I will be looking for fresh new ideas, using different perspectives, and lighting ideas. Creating mood, feeling, or telling a story in your photo is another way of being creative. Bottom line don't take boring pictures to just fill the criteria of the assignment. BE CREATIVE put some thought into your work.
Criteria = 3 marks
Criteria is easy, you simply have to follow the criteria of the assignment on the blog or handout and you get three marks.
I am looking forward to seeing your pictures look for your great shots on my blog. Good luck and have fun!
